Philadelphia’s culinary scene is gaining national acclaim as three hotel restaurants, Jean-Georges Philadelphia, SkyHigh, and Vernick Fish, earn recognition from OpenTable as the best in America. These establishments, all located at the Four Seasons Hotel in Philadelphia, boast impressive ratings and underline the growing appeal of hotel dining experiences. Additionally, the city will welcome Fleur’s, a new French restaurant and boutique hotel, in Spring 2025, enhancing the local dining landscape further.
Philadelphia has gained national attention with three hotel restaurants based in the Southeastern Pennsylvania area recognized by OpenTable as among the best in America. The restaurants are Jean-Georges Philadelphia, SkyHigh, and Vernick Fish, all located at the Four Seasons Hotel in Philadelphia.
Jean-Georges Philadelphia boasts an impressive 4.9-star rating based on 1,480 reviews, while SkyHigh holds a 4.7-star rating with 3,108 reviews. Furthermore, Vernick Fish has a solid 4.8-star rating from 2,430 reviews. This recognition underscores the rising importance of hotel restaurants, which are increasingly seen as culinary destinations not only for hotel guests but also for the local community.
A recent study highlights the impact of dining experiences on travel decisions, revealing that 73% of Americans would be likely to rebook a hotel owing to a positive dining experience. This suggests that the quality of food and ambiance can significantly influence hotel occupancy and customer loyalty. The recognition from OpenTable places these establishments at the forefront of this trend.
In addition to the acclaim received by existing establishments, Philadelphia is poised to welcome a new venue called Fleur’s, scheduled to open in Spring 2025. Located at 2205 North Front St., Fleur’s will be a two-floor restaurant complemented by a six-room boutique hotel, event space, and a rooftop bar. The restaurant aims to focus on French cuisine, offering a sophisticated dining experience featuring a selection of drinks to pair well with the meals.
Fleur’s will host an introductory tasting event titled A First Taste of Fleur’s on April 19, which will showcase a five-course menu priced at $135 per ticket. This event aims to provide guests with a preview of the culinary offerings that Fleur’s plans to deliver.
The venue will operate with a total of 30 seats, which includes 18 at the bar and a private dining room capable of accommodating 12 guests. Initially, only the first floor and mezzanine will be operational, while the rooftop and event space will open later in 2025. The operating hours for Fleur’s are structured as follows:
To further enhance the dining experience, a happy hour will feature oysters, clams, and a variety of small plates during weekdays. Chef George Sabatino, known from his previous role at Barbuzzo, emphasizes the use of seasonal produce sourced from local farms and waterfronts to craft Fleur’s menu. The overarching goal of the Fleur’s team is to deliver exceptional culinary offerings in a thoughtfully designed space that focuses on superior hospitality.
The design of Fleur’s is headed by Lisa A. Calabro, who aims to maintain the character of the existing building while integrating modern amenities. This building had been inactive for over a decade before it underwent refurbishment to transform it into the promising gastronomic destination that Fleur’s will be.
As the Philadelphia dining scene continues to grow, the recognition of the city’s hotel restaurants alongside the anticipated opening of Fleur’s indicates a flourishing culinary landscape that attracts both locals and visitors alike.
The recognition from OpenTable highlights the quality and popularity of the restaurants, indicating they are among the best in America, which can enhance their reputation and attract more diners.
Fleur’s is set to open in Spring 2025, with a tasting event taking place on April 19, 2025.
Fleur’s will focus on French cuisine, with seasonal dishes created using local ingredients.
Fleur’s will serve dinner Sunday-Thursday from 5 to 10 p.m. and Friday-Saturday from 5 to 11 p.m., with weekend brunch from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
