Antonio Gates is celebrated as one of the greatest receiving tight ends in NFL history. Gates ranks fourth in both receptions and receiving yards among tight ends and is seventh in overall touchdowns.
Sterling Sharpe, whose career was tragically cut short by a neck injury at the age of 29, made a substantial impact in his seven seasons. He recorded 595 catches, 8,312 yards, and 65 receiving touchdowns. During his active years, only Jerry Rice surpassed him in receptions and touchdowns, solidifying Sharpe as a standout player despite his brief time on the field.
Eric Allen, known for his prowess as a cornerback, retired with 54 interceptions and was a six-time Pro Bowler. He earned First Team All-Pro honors in 1989 and ranks tied for the most interceptions in Eagles history and 21st overall in NFL history.
Jared Allen finished his career with an impressive 136.0 sacks, ranking 12th in NFL history. He notched eight seasons with at least 10 sacks, tying him for sixth all-time. Allen led the NFL in sacks twice and holds the record for the third-most sacks in a single season with 22.0.
