The incident occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m., at the intersection of 17th and West Ruscomb streets, instigating an immediate response from law enforcement and emergency medical services.

Police reports indicate that the older victim was shot several times in the chest and torso and was found unresponsive in a courtyard at the school. He was pronounced dead shortly after being discovered. The younger victim was struck by gunfire in his hand and leg and has since been transported to a nearby hospital where he is currently reported to be in stable condition.

The shooting involved a significant amount of gunfire, with approximately 38 shots discharged from two different semi-automatic weapons.
