The highly anticipated VinylCon! event will take place on May 10 and 11 at the 23rd Street Armory, showcasing over 100,000 vinyl records from more than 70 vendors. Notable participants include renowned DJ Skeme Richards and the nonprofit organization Women in Vinyl, which supports women in the vinyl industry. The event will also feature accessory vendors such as BCW Supplies, RYTHM cannabis, Crown Royal, and Monster Energy.
Food options will be plentiful, with food trucks including Victor’s Pizza Truck and Korea Taqueria serving patrons on Saturday, while Two Street Sammies and Papermill Foods will be available on Sunday. Attendees can unwind with drinks from Bonner’s Irish Pub at the event. Tickets for VinylCon! are priced between $6 to $30 and can be purchased in advance online.
This weekend, the Art Star Craft Bazaar will be held at Cherry Street Pier from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on both days. This pet-friendly event will feature over 80 curated craft vendors, offering unique handmade products and gifts. Attendees can participate in hands-on activities organized by Project Joy, Craft Nation, and Printadelphia.
A special Mother’s Day botanical dye class will run from noon to 4 p.m. both days, where participants can learn how to dye cotton fabrics for a fee of $25 through Eventbrite.
The Lady Hoofers will present their annual Concert Series on May 10 at the Harold Prince Theater within the Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts. The concert will feature original tap choreography from various choreographers, highlighted by a world premiere from Star Dixon. The ensemble consists of 25 professional and pre-professional tap dancers, and for the first time, it will include participation from the Youth Ensemble.

On May 10, author Anthony Brogdon will be discussing his book, Black Business Book, at Coffee Cream & Dreams. The session will run from 10 a.m. to noon and will explore the history and successes of Black-owned businesses in America, covering 17 chapters and over 200 facts related to Black history in the business sector.
The Philadelphia Marketplace will take place every Friday and Saturday until June 28, from noon to 6 p.m. This family-friendly event will feature handmade artwork, home goods, jewelry, and other products from small businesses in the Greater Philadelphia and tri-state area. Admission is free, with food, drinks, and gifts available for a pay-as-you-go system.
Finally, Mural Arts’ annual Wall Ball will occur on May 9 at Brooklyn Bowl Philadelphia. This event will include an exclusive VIP seated dinner, a program highlighting the impact of Mural Arts, and awards to honorees before transitioning into an energetic afterparty. The afterparty will feature live mural painting demos, performances by the Eagles Cheerleading Squad, and live music from the Philadelphia String Quartet. General admission tickets are priced at $125, while VIP tickets, which include dinner and program access, are available for $300.
