A student from Temple University has been suspended following a deeply alarming antisemitic incident at Barstool Sansom Street in Philadelphia. The incident took place on Saturday, May 3, when a group of patrons ordered bottle service and requested a sign reading “Fuck the Jews,” which was subsequently displayed by the bar staff. This incident quickly escalated as the sign was shared extensively on social media, leading to widespread public outrage.
In the aftermath, the owner of Barstool Sports and founder of Barstool Sansom Street, Dave Portnoy, condemned the incident during an emergency press conference. He expressed being “shaking” with anger upon learning of the event and insisted on accountability for those involved. Portnoy confirmed that the two waitresses who served the table were immediately fired from their positions.
